EXPERIENCE:

Merrill Lynch ~ (summer 2000) ~ Intern

~ Researched and reported companies' information as potential stock buying choices

~ Familiarized with Merrill Lynch's stock and investment options, such as Working Capital Management Account (WCMA) and Certificate of Deposit (CD's)

~ Introduced Merrill Lynch services through various channels

Comments: Working at Merrill Lynch was a like a dream came true. I was exposed to many different aspects of this Corporate Giant (Bull) that a summer of interning was certainly not enough. I learned that there are many sides of Merrill Lynch that common people do not even realize. Besides regular investing and stock exchanging, ML also provides other financial services such as WCMA for small to mid-size businesses.

U.S. Postal Service ~ (summer 1999) ~ Casual Clerk

~ Assisted customers with all postal related problems

~ Worked independently as well as collaboratively

~ Collected, arranged, and distributed over 5,000 letters and packages each day

Comments: I gained many valuable lessons from working at the post office that not many business related settings can offer. Precision and timing are the most crucial elements in the post office.

Education Connection ~ (November 1998 - June 1999) ~ General Accounting Duties

~ Assigned to work in accounts payable and sales department at St. Mary's Hospital

~ Researched over 100 companies' information through using the Internet

~ Prepared, organized, and created weekly reports on hospital's business status

Comments: I was able to learn various accounting skills through my internship with Education Connection. At St. Mary hospital's accounts payable, I learned to read a company's statement - which not many people would normally know. I learned to identify errors on statement and other related problems.

International Business Machines Corporation ~ (November 1997 - June 1998) ~ General Support Secretary

~ Provided administrative assistance

~ Conducted and assisted numerous projects: recruiting events and statistical reports

Comments: IBM was the first job I ever had. I considered myself very fortunate to have the opportunity to work for one of the most prominent companies nationally as well as internationally. My experience at IBM taught me the importance of self-motivation, team-work, communication, and computer skill. I enjoyed working for IBM.
